Alarm Information

The Williston Police Department is dedicated to the safety and protection of our community, residents, and the property we oversee.

This dedication extends to responding to alarms within the community. When an alarm is activated our department is notified and officers are dispatched to the site where they treat the situation as if there is a crime in progress.

Given the serious nature of alarm response by the Williston Police, there are measures in place to reduce the number of false alarms. Responding to false alarms takes up valuable police resources, can become costly and, most importantly, puts the public at danger given our officers respond at a high rate of speed.

To curtail the number of false alarms we require that all alarm holders expecting the Williston Police to be the primary responding law enforcement agency to become registered with the Department.
