Establishing and maintaining a relationship of trust and confidence between the employees of the Williston Police Department and the community we serve is essential to fulfilling our policing role. Community feedback, in the form of compliments and complaints, serves as a critical function in determining how we are performing our duties and what adjustments we need to make to better fulfill the community needs.

We are confident in our officer's ability, skill, and dedication.  We are also vigilant to provide professional and timely service throughout the year, day or night to our community.  Please help us recognize the outstanding work performed by the staff of the Williston Police Department by contacting us to pass along your positive interactions with our staff.

We recognize that mistakes can be made by our staff. In these cases, we want to make improvements to the service that we provide and need to know about instances where our staff may have done something erroneously or may have violated policy or even the law. To facilitate this, the Williston Police Department has established a system of complaint and disciplinary procedures which, not only subject the officers or civilian employees to corrective action if needed but will also protect them from unwarranted criticism and wrongdoing when their actions are legally warranted and within policy.

Below you will find the necessary Complaint Form as well as a brochure describing our process for filing a complaint.  We do ask that any written statement supplied be signed in the presence of our investigator or officer in charge when making the complaint.
