The Williston Police Department Patrol Division provides professional, compassionate law enforcement response to the citizens and visitors to our town at times of emergency. Our organization is committed to community policing with open communication that allows us to understand community needs and concerns.

Meet our Officers

Lieutenant Eric Shepard

Lieutenant Shepard joined the Williston Police Department in 2009 and has a Bachelor’s degree in computer science. Lieutenant Shepard currently holds certifications as an FTO Supervisor, Spike Instructor, Datamaster Supervisor, and Advanced Traffic Crash Investigator.

Sergeant Bart Chamberlain

Sergeant Chamberlain started with the Williston Police Department in 1992. He currently holds certifications as a Firearms Instructor, Death Investigator, At Scene Traffic Investigator and a Terminal Agency Coordinator and Tech Liaison. Sergeant Chamberlain is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He previously held certifications as a Use of Force Instructor, Straight Baton Instructor, Laser, Blood-Borne Pathogens and was a former member of the Vermont Police Academy Use of Force Committee.

Sergeant Brian Claffy

Sergeant Claffy started with the Williston Police Department in 1998. He spent 8 years prior serving in the United States Coast Guard. Sergeant Claffy currently holds certifications as a Datamaster Supervisor, Death Investigator, Hostage Negotiator and is our Fleet Manager.

Sergeant Rick Greenough

Sergeant Greenough joined the Williston Police Department in July, 2020 after spending 15 years with the Richmond Police Department. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Champlain College. He holds certifications as a Death Investigator, Field Training Officer and School Resource Officer.  

Officer William Bouffard

Officer Bouffard began working for the Williston Police Department in 2016. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Castleton State College. He is a certified ALICE instructor, and Police Response to Active Shooter Instructor, as well as being a member of the School Safety Committee. 

Officer John Hamlin

Officer Hamlin joined the Williston Police Department in June, 2018 and previously served with the Richmond Police Department for 3 years. He holds certifications as a Death Investigator, Field Training Officer, Use of Force Instructor and Crisis Negotiator.

Officer Ethan Favreau

Officer Ethan Favreau joined the Williston Police Department in September of 2019, previously serving with the Chittenden County Sheriff’s Office. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Clinton Community College.

Officer Avery Lemnah

Officer Lemnah joined the Williston Police Department in January of 2020. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from the University of Vermont. She previously worked as a Dispatcher and Certified VT Enhanced 911 Call Taker for the Vermont State Police for 2 years.

Officer Kyle Brooks

Officer Brooks joined the Williston Police Department in June of 2021 and previously served with Shelburne Police Department. Officer Brooks holds a certification as a Death Investigator and is a Field Training Officer.

Officer Brad Miller

Officer Miller joined the Williston Police Department in May of 2022. He comes with over 5 years of Law Enforcement experience. He is a Drug Recognition Expert and a Field Training Officer.

Officer Daniel Macaig

Officer Macaig first joined the Williston Police Department in January 2017. He holds a certification as a death investigator and is also a volunteer Firefighter and Advanced EMT with his local fire department.

Officer Armin Harambasic

Officer Harambasic joined the Williston Police Department in November 2023 after previously working for the Shelburne Police Department. He has seven years of military service as an infantryman and is a certified child safety and restraint system technician.
